Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – 26 July 2026: TECNO has officially launched the POVA 8 Series in Saudi Arabia and announced the opening of pre-orders for its latest gaming smartphone during an exclusive launch event attended by leading media representatives, content creators, brand partners, and technology and gaming enthusiasts.
The launch marks the culmination of a development journey spanning more than two years, during which TECNO worked closely with Saudi content creator Bandar Madkhali, widely known as Banderita, to develop a gaming experience inspired by the needs of Saudi Arabia’s gaming community—combining powerful performance, exceptional durability, and contemporary design.

The POVA 8 Series introduces a new concept in gaming smartphones through its Dual-Chip Gaming Powerarchitecture, combining the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor with TECNO’s P1 Graphics Chip to deliver smoother and more stable gaming performance, with support for up to 144FPS in supported games.
The series also features the interactive Alive Matrix Design, offering users a unique level of personalisation through an interactive digital interface that gives the device a distinctive gaming-inspired identity.

The POVA 8 Series is engineered with advanced durability features, including IP69K water and dust resistance, enhanced protection against high temperatures, and reinforced screen durability, making it well suited to the diverse environmental conditions across Saudi Arabia.

As part of the launch event, TECNO showcased the development story behind the POVA 8 Series through the premiere of the short documentary, “From Saudi Arabia’s Gaming Community to TECNO’s R&D Centres in China.”
The documentary highlighted the collaboration between TECNO and Banderita, beginning with listening to the needs of Saudi gamers, followed by visits to TECNO’s research and development centres and manufacturing facilities in China, and culminating in the creation of a smartphone designed to bring those insights to life.
The collaboration reflects TECNO’s co-developmentphilosophy, which involves engaging users and content creators throughout the product development process to create experiences that better meet the needs of local markets.
